The Northeast Council selected the City of Portland for the Fall 2006
Council Training, Matchmaker Conference, and Council Meeting. These events
were held between Oct. 16 and Oct.18, 2006. The venue was the Sheraton South Portland Hotel, 363 Main Mall Rd.,

for Federal Prime (Large Business) Contractors.

 | "Government Contracting for Small Businesses". Brought to
you by the same people who developed the Small Business Liaison Officer
Training. This is a half day course that provided
attendees with the basics regarding federal government contracting and
subcontracting. |

 | Full Day Matchmaker Session, where small business have the opportunity
to sign up for 10 minute meetings with over 70 federal prime contractors and

In addition, Procurement Technical Assistance Centers from throughout the
region, Defense Contract Administration Agency, Defense Contract Audit Agency and
the Small Business Administration was present to meet and assist businesses.
